Less than a week after a class eleven student was kidnapped
in Bihar's capital city Patna, another student was kidnapped
in the state on Monday.
A ninth standard DAV student was reportedly abducted from
Nalanda district yesterday.
Ravikant, son of a farmer, was picked up by unidentified men
when the student was waiting for a school bus.
Police said the boy went missing and did not return home till
the evening.
Protests in Patna
The news of the Nalanda kidnapping came while students in the
state capital had started a relay hunger strike to protest
against the kidnapping of Kishalay Gupta.
Kishalay Gupta, a 14-year-old student of Patna's Delhi Public
School, was kidnapped last Wednesday while he was going to
school.
Yesterday, students in Patna began a relay fast in protest
against Kishalay's abduction and have demanded his safe
return.
Private schools in Patna remained closed on Monday in protest
against the kidnapping of the DPS student.
