has a brand named after her. Fashion shows are incomplete
without her presence. She is not yet 25 and is already
considered one of the best Fashion Designers in the city.
Meet Julie Verughese.
A graduate of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion
Technology), Julie conceives designs for companies and
handles freelance assignments. In her field, she is a
trend-setter and her designs speak moods more than moments.
Her designer collection sells under the brand name -
Juliana. She intends specialising in personalised styles
for a select clientele.
Julie strongly believes that Fashion is an art and like
every other art it must be respected. She feels that
Chennai is moving towards a more open, unbiased approach to
fashion and that this change is good. She strives to be the
best and does not wish to let success cloud her ambitions.
Wanting to make it big both in India and abroad, she does
not consider competition much of a problem. She wishes to
expand and maybe start her own boutique someday. Her advice
to young people interested in Fashion: "Hard work can take
you places".
