Kishkinta:
This called India's
No.1 theme park located at Tambaram. As the name suggests,
it is again one of the best theme parks in the country
featuring hi-tech thrillers like the space shuttle,
artificial waterfalls, wave swimming pool, and kiddies
kingdom.
Queensland:
Though a recent
establishment, it has sprung right up to be one of the best
theme parks in the state. Situated on the Chennai-bangalore
trunk road near Sembarambakkam, Poonamallee, this amusement
park is most popular for some of its best water rides. Some
of the striking features are the free fall tower, cable
car, lake where one could go for a boat trip, swimming pool
with artificial waves, rollercoasters, himalayan ride, and
many more rides for the kids as well.
MGM Dizzy
World:
This is one the best theme parks
located on the outskirts of Chennai closer to teh Muttukadu
region on the way to Mahabalipuram on the ECR road. The
park is known for its excellent and thrilling rides and
water sports. The park is constructed on 3 main themes -
the MGM Dizzy World, MGM Marry World and MGM Water World.
The park also has a few beautiful, well maintained lawns,
colourful flowering plants and a private beach with coconut
trees and also has a few resorts closeby making the
location and the park one of the best places for a day out
or stay. There are more than 60 rides, some of them being
the toy trains, rollercoaster, giant wheel, 100 feet dizzee
shake, and many more. The water sport lovers rank this
place as one of the best.
Little folks:
This is another
amusement park on the ECR road about 8 Km before
Mahabalipuram which offers a wide range of entertainment
for kids featuring a Giant-piano, rainbow fountain, toy
train, slide into pool, paddle pool and cartoon shows and a
great place to stop for your cranky little ones on your way
to Mahabalipuram.
VGP Golden Beach:
One of the oldest
of the entertainment parks in chennai, VGP still secures
itself to an amusement park for all ages. The dizzy rides,
water sports, the beach all make this place an ideal spot
to stop for kids.
Dash NŽ Splash:
This a water theme
park situated a little away from Poonamallee and about 30
km from the Central Station. It features on water slides
like wave spiral, free fall slides and flumes from a height
of 12 ft to 35 ft.
Prime Time, Annanagar:
The Prime time is
situated in Annanagar, which is an exciting and extravagant
indoor amusement park with bumper car rides, play pen and
other exciting rides for the kids. There are also a number
of food stalls and other eatable outlets found in the park.
