For an engineering student the last career option would have been the job of a Disc Jockey. Yet here is a man who has brought repute to the profession.
Meet D J George. He became a DJ at a time when DJ’s were not very popular in India. Then he hit the mainstream and redefined the Indian disco scene. He worked in Mumbai and then moved on to Chennai and became the DJ of one of the hottest Night Clubs in South India – Gatsby 2000 of the ITC Park Sheraton Group. Today he is Entertainment Manager at Gatsby 2000 and is also the best DJ in the city. His passion is so intense that even today he stands behind the console, when he could very well make his assistants do the job.
His family life is a dream thanks to his understanding wife – Sunita. George advises that those getting into this profession should slog and not get carried away by the glamour that accompanies it. He has met many a great personality and it is that applause at the end of a hard day’s work that gives him the utmost pleasure.
